I got a 2003 Impala and cannot keep 2 cars, so it has to go!

has 240,000km (144,000miles), red/tan interior.
HUD, DIC, PW, Pdoors, etc.  2 key FOBs that work, however the trunk only works with a key (some electrical problem I can't figure out).

Body is in GOOD condition, a few SURFACE rust spots around fenders (under the cladding mostly) regular small dents and dings.  Small repairable crack on the valance, driver's side 1/4panal cladding has a few broken clips, no big deal.

2 sets of wheels (x-lace with crappy tires, old GP sawblades w/ 205/70/15 all seasons for winter)

2 sets of front seats (the stock ones, and grey worn AQ9s currently installed).  Also stock (1995) center console.

Will include a variety of other w-body parts from the 95 as well as the 88 GP I had (headlights, steering column, alternator(?) misc crap in the garage).

Passed e-test recently, engine runs great.  car does not leak anything.

Needed for safety (as far as I know)- strut bearings (has memory steer), struts are pretty crappy but still not overly bouncy.

Other problems:
Radiator may need replacing soon- runs a little hot in the city traffic, transmission shifts hard 1st-2nd gear shift (I let off the gas so it doesn't slam into gear).  A/C doesn't work- I beleive it is just a leak in the condensor or a pipe- the compressor and other stuff does work as I tried refilling it 2 years ago and had it working for 1/2hr.

Many NEW parts installed since 2004:
mufflers,
gas tank& filler neck
2 wheel bearings
brake pads/rotors done when i bought the car (at 215000km)
turn signal switch
heatercore (done this past winter)
LIM gaskets done a year ago
Waterpump in 2004
lots of misc stuff not worth mentioning...

Also windows tinted last year, and oil-sprayed undercoat last 2 years.

So I'm letting it go for $1000 AS-IS, FIRM.   I'll give you a full tank of gas...

$1500 WITH STEREO (Infinity components and 6x9 rear, Pioneer 12" sealed subwoofer, Kenwood amp, JVC CD player HU

I haven't taken many pics lately, but theres probably some from last year in the album:

Is that $1k US, or $1k CAD?

You're near Toronto, correct?

Even though the car's identical to its US-market counterpart, I wonder how hard it would be to title in the US?

I'd definitely be interested (and have the cash,) but I'm thinking it might be more hassle than it's worth to get it transported and titled here.  I'd have to check with the MN DMV to see what their rules are for titling a Canadian vehicle in the state.

How far are you willing to drive?  Better yet, is it "ship shape" enough to survive a several-hundred-mile roadtrip?

Local pickup only... maybe an hour drive at the most.   If you can guarantee you will buy the car, possibly a bus ticket.

Well I don't want to waste any of your time with it since the whole distance thing is the big hang-up with me right now.  Maybe if you don't have it sold in a couple of months, I'd be willing to take a day or three off of work and fly out there to pick it up dunno

I'll keep it in mind.. lol

Trying to sell it to my friend (Q-ball on w-body) he's got a red 92 coupe, wants to do the 94-6 interior swap.  Or he could replace the struts and strut bearing which is all I think it needs for safety, and have a second car to drive.  This car for $1000 could easily be fixed up to be a really nice DD/winter beater, or part it out and make $$$.

Dave, how come your only on here now? I was wondering what happened to you!

Anyways, good luck with the sale.

I contacted custom's a few years back and they told me as long as the car meets emission requirements for the United States you can drive it here. I would call customs before the MN DMV.
