Hai Guys!   And girls, as the case just might be.  I know it is for me!

I am the proud owner of a 1992 Grand Prix SE coupe complete with b4u.  No HUD, DIC, Sunroof or remote trunk release... but power windows/locks/mirrors/tilt/cruise etc.  Ooh.  And steering wheel radio controls.  biggrin  NO AIRBAGS!!!  She's rolling strong and working on 203k miles now.

I have LOTS of pictures to chronicle the years of my ownership of this car.  She is a photo-whore!  Her name is Precious. LOL.

As far as modding done, she's only very, VERY slightly modded, considering the nature of being my DD for the last four+ years.  Most of what I've done is just upgrading OEM equipment.

KYB GR2s in all four corners, replaced the rear monoleaf... better than baseline Raybestos rotors and raybestos ceramic pads.  I've got an RSTB for the back that was mounted forever ago... and sitting on the floor not 10 feet from me is an upgraded sway bar, poly bushings, and trailing arms... that I've yet to get on the damn car. sad  The most noteable "mod" to this car really is the stereo I had installed a couple years ago.  Pioneer D-Series speakers in the front and rear, ADS components in the doors, MTX 5500 12" x2 subs in the trunk powered off an MTX Elite amp.

Okay, to the pictures.  I don't have any decent pictures of when I first owned the car... all I had was a crummy cameraphone... so the pictures I have are freakishly small, and really don't do justice to the condition of the car when I got her.

I'll start with some lake pictures from a few years back.  I had to replace my factory hood after some d***head decided my car looked like it would make a good trampoline.  evil   It took me several years to track down louvers... and a valence... and fog lights/brackets.  Anyhow... HERE SHE BE!

oldest pictures I have:

No, she wasn't dusty.  The pain was just THAT BROWN. sad

If the mis-matched wheels don't give it away, she is and has always been a work in progress.

Icky fender flares/trim.  Got those fixed... all by myself!

Repainted with spraybombs in my bedroom, wetsanded and re-mounted.  Just getting ready to polish them out.

Let me reiterate:  SPRAY BOMB!   cool

Now... Just some pictures.... lol...

A wet shot.

I know most of you are photobucket-savvy, so if you go and inspect the "Phail" album in the Pontiac section of my photobucket... you will see all the flaws that my pictures do NOT show.

There are tons more, I thought I'd be nice.  Spring is here though, wait until I go for a photo shoot.. which is bound to happen soon.

Anyhow.. Enjoy mai baby!

ha i can see you found out the hard way spray paint doesnt stay on wheel too long, especially around the lug nuts, lol i did the same thing, but i ended up sand blasting them and powdercoating them, much nicer result. The rear quarter panel area looks real good, wanna come do the roof of my 6000, hehe...

Nah.

The hard way was the side that all I did was painting.

The other side I stripped down and reprimered and the paint has stuck.  They just don't stay clean. sad  I want to get the set PC'd but that costs money I don't have, plus I can't be without my only car for a week or more to have it done.

SEX.

Car's nice too.

Haha. j/k. Or am I?!

Anyway, I love the windshield banner. I considered getting one like that for my car. But the one I wanted was bought before I could get around to buying it myself.

The car looks like a different one altogether now. It's come a long way. smile

On the black, the tail lights need tinted even more than mine do.

But it's such a cool ride on the overall.

The side handles look kick ass SoftKing!  They just break easily.

I never saw the before looks at the work - wow good job.

Thanks a ton guys for all your compliments.  I've spent over four harrowing, stressful years trying to keep my car in not only tip-top running shape, but as good of physical appearance as my poor little self can muster.  (Yes, I do mean poor, as I'm a broke little thing just trying to get by.  Thank goodness I drive a car with low property tax values and insurance rates. LOL!)

I'm not exactly sure I want to tint my tails Breakdown.  They have delaminated a bit though, I'll get around to working on that one of these days, but I really like the contrast of the bright red/yellow/clear of the tails against the black of the car.

She needs re-tinted badly, as you can see by the purple bubbling flim on the glass.  It started at 25% years ago, now its faded to like 37% last time I checked... or last time I got pulled over and it was checked, I should say.

PC the wheels & paint the car, and thats about all I'm worried about for exterior appearance upgrades.

I do love the vertical door handles, as much of a holy PITA as they are... they are very unique, and so am I, so the car and myself fit together rather well.  I think I've replaced the handles 3 or 4 times in the last few years of ownership, most recently last week when the driver's side stopped functioning all-together.  Thank goodness for remote start and leaving the window cracked, I was able to get the door open to get in the car and get it fixed. (Passenger side is completely snapped off ATM.)

I'm glad you got to see some of the before pictures Breakdown.  It doesn't seem like the same car at all.  I love her more and more every day, despite the grocery list of mostly routine maintenance issues I've had with her in my years of ownership.  I don't think my mother could've gotten me a better graduation present, I've learned so much from this car.

LOL about the trim vs fender paint SofaKing. The paint on that car is probably 12 years old everywhere else, and it was a Maaco job while it was still a lease vehicle back in NJ where it was originally driven while new.  The worst part of it, is even though the paint looks like dogshit up close, standing 20 feet away, espescially looking at the passenger side, it's great.  Kinda like the Mona Lisa, I guess.  The blemishes fade away in light of the awesome shine and obvious attention that she gets for all her long, hard-earned miles.

I think I got everyone beat on needing a paintjob, and Taylor can back me up on that one wink

When it comes down to spoilers its all about personal pereference, some people like them, some don't, me myself I like spoilers if they are LOW profile ones.

EviLette: Your 92' looks really great reminds me alot of mine, keep up the good work on it. The black on black looks great.
