i h8 when people leave protective plastic films on things like display screens, chrome and what have you. they leave it on so long that it then becomes non removable and starts to peel and looks like shit.

Was busy today and didn't even go up to the shop to look at the car. The shop didn't call me either. So I doubt they finished it.

Maybe tomorrow I can tow it home???

Just got it home today.

The new paint on the bumper looks flawless. They did a  good job with the body work.


The PS quarter panel was painted and the body work was done.


same thing with the driver side quarter panel.



He told me to buff it out with a mild rubbing compound sometime on Sunday. He said it will help the paint blend a little better on the quarter panel. Which I think is nonexistent.

I need to put it back together now, but it looks great.

Put it back together I did.



All that is missing is the spare tire and jack and the carpet in the trunk. Not bad.

I am leaving tomorrow, Gone fishing, and then on Monday I will buff out my new paint.

I used a clay bar and wax on the old paint and left the new paint untouched.

looks good, but as for blend lines, you really have to catch them at the right angle to see if theyre good or bad, and it usually doesnt hurt to go over the blend a little and if it wasnt painted that day, it shouldnt hurt to wax the new paint, but i wouldnt use anything heavy at all.

It blends good and the paint matches well. I guess it wouldn't hurt to wax it. It's been a couple days since it was painted already.

I took a piece of red leather and put it over the front license plate bracket since I don't need to have a front license plate.



I thought about putting an emblem on the front...but I'm not sure. What do you think?
