I spent my evening painting the trim in my interior. I thought the trim as it was really beat up and badly scuffed. I painted the trim black instead of gray. I don't know whether I like it or not yet. It's almost too shiny.

Did you paint right over the "rubber" coating on the radio bezel?

When I had a 95 GP, I installed a mint radio bezel that I found in the boneyard.  I sprayed a floor stripper/water solution onto the old bezel and all of that "rubber" shit peeled right off with the help of a Scotch-Brite pad.

I never painted the bezel, however...

It still has that rubber coating on it yeah, that is what made it look so crappy in the first place. If this gets scuffed up too bad maybe ill try that. I still have plenty of that vinyl paint stuff

hah unfortunately its already scuffed up almost as badly as it was before I painted it. It grew on me though, I like it now. Definitely wanna redo it though. Maybe in the summer I'll take Disco's suggestions and strip/scrub it and get all the paint and rubber shit off. I'll repaint it then... not sure if I wanna go black again or maybe, just maybe... dark green to match the exterior. I thought about that when thinking about getting new speakers, itd be an opportunity to customize the rear deck.

ill start my own thread as not to hijack yours, but i found the duplicolour to be pretty much EXACT. and if i was to wet sand and polish the spray can clear coat it would get rid of alot of the pitting it got from me not knowing how thick to spray it. hehe

but mine never really gets touched. i did it over a month ago and it hasnt gotten a single scratch in it except for when i was doing the satalite radio install (all wires hidden) when i was cutting the holes in the dash piece -the one i painted, well i did it on a chunk of carpet, but somehow it got a little scratch.
you'll see if you look.
