Transmission is acting like complete crap, so its getting a 5 speed Getrag 282 with a Spec Stage 3 clutch some time next month or as soon as I can get one. Also, I'll be getting the walbro 255lph fuel pump in there this week since I'm 8-10 psi too low on the fuel rail. The following video was taken more for the sound than the speed. I'll take another once I get the higher flow fuel pump in.

Oh trust me I can explain, lol. The sub got put in last year in November. In December, the parking pawl rod went and the car got parked till I fixed it in January. In February-March ish, a lifter blew and scored the cam lobe. In late March, the car went to Bob's house to get the L67 swap you see there. I got the car back a month ago. Lots of things I need to work on, lol.

If anything here makes you scratch your head, feel free to ask.

Oh, and as for the bass, yeah it would flow better if you just cut the entry into the trunk. However, one other thing would flow better as well; road noise. The stereo wiring needs to be cleaned up a bit, but that's going to have to wait till I get the 5 speed manual in there.

Are you selling it of course. You've put a bunch work of work into it, no?

The time has come. Grab some tissues.

this is what confused me too, time for what?

i got ya with the stereo and shit... one thing you can do to help with road noise is to gut ur trunk (down to steel) and spray it with truck bed liner. then take out ur seats n carpet and do the inside of the car too!! lol i swear this shit works better than dynomat and you could (if you wanted to) put the Dynomat on top of it!
fast and it gets EVERYWHERE -make sure you mask your car good.

Time to post pictures of course. And get tissues because your keyboard will get sticky!

I'll consider your idea with the bed liner. Not a bad idea at all, and probably looks decent too.

i like it! i was lazy too and didnt bother scraping the glue off from where the insulation WAS stuck down. i kinda went over everything i wanted it to stick to with a scotch brite pad, then masked and sprayed away. took an afternoon but damn, as soon as it dried (which took 2 hours) i slapped all the carpet back in, and threw in the subs. HUGE difference in my ears, but i still have a FULL backseat, only thing missing is the 3/4" thick rubber pad.

Your first line threw me off, I was under the impression you were selling it!

I'll second the bedliner, it does help - but I prefer secondskin damplifier pro, that stuff is awesome. No matter what, I cannot get my trunk lid/tail lights to stop fucking vibrating. Filled the trunk lid with foam, two layers of 1/4" thick fatmat, a whole shit of insulation between the tail lights and trunk - and the shit still sounds like my car is rattling apart.

for me its the tail lights, z-thirty-spoiler, and the filler panel under the tail lights.
maybe some expanding spray foam or something?? use LEDs so we dont ever need to take it apart again?

Already attacked my trunk with it... All I have to do is touch the trunk and it stops rattling... I'm going to play with the hinge adjustment. My old lumina (with the same system) did the same thing until the day it was junked.

And sorry for jacking your shit, XT. I'll split the thread...
