heeheehee

Well, monday, the freezeplug gave out on me and I lost all my coolant.  Freezeplug popped out and was barely in at all.  I knew it was going to have to be done but monday I started showing FLU symptoms, so I got some estimates and let a shop do it.  I went to the most trustworthy shop that quoted me the cheapest quote.  Most shops were quoting me in the $500-$600 range, and I went with the one that quoted me $300.

I dropped the car off on monday.  called them tuesday and they told me it was going to be only $160-180, to which I said, go for it, and the price cap is $300 (they are authorized to do up to $300, but after that they have to call to confirm).

The final price was only $275.00, but it turns out it should have been a LOT more.  They were suppose to pull the tranny out to do it seeing it is partially blocked, but they were able to just drop the subframe and get it that way.

All in all, I got it for $200 less than they should have charged me.

It's a bitch getting to that one...I should have had it fixed at a shop but just never got around to it with my wife being sick and all.
