i found that when you remove the air box there is a nice little 3in gap that runs in front of the fans so if you dont use any larger than 3in pipe you are fine step 1 it is pretty strait forward just cut you piping how you want it you cant really mess this up. i decided to use just the stock hose and ad on to it to save time and money so off off the maf a 9 in 80* bend will be perfect and angle it down so the intake is running at an diagonal step 2 then you need just about 4 in of strait pipe if you are useing a 9in long filter like me and then since the filter will hit the fan you need to ad a 70-90* bend to get it down a bit lower but not have the filter scraping the ground end result the easiest intake you have ever built

Interesting placement of the filter. Are you planning on adding one of those foam sleeves that prevents water from being ingested into the intake? I'd be worried about gulping a bunch of water when it rains...

it doesn't get more heat from the engine and radiator? i mean, it's probably worth it since it's a lot easier. I actually enjoyed making my fenderwell intake and figuring out where and how to move everything.

it looked like the rad was venting right on it to me as well. i know the stock intake sucks air in from infront of the headlights, just past the rad... therefor being cold air? i want one inside my front bumper cover, but im scared the long ass snorkel is just going to choke it off.

i feel it has more power. it seems to roast the tires a bit easier as for fuel id say about the same
as for positioning i still say it has to be better that a wai or a stock airbox. and i felt it after a 35 mile drive and it was only warm

i think im just gonna mod my stock box to fit a cone filter and use the stock intake position, seems like an easy plan. lol and less piping, just a filter and like 9" of tube?

for sure, it's got to be better than a wai

that is pretty funny, lol.
and WAI def are better than stock on a 3.4 IMO also. The sound they make is just phenomenal...best intake sound I've ever heard.
