I'm really freggin sick of this car.
My red '92 has decided that almost every time I make a right turn, it's going to die. Not stall, just flat out fucking die. If I look at the gauges when it does this, they all drop slowly as if I've turned the key in the ignition. I then have to pull over, put it in park and try and re-start it again. Sometimes I'll have to sit on the side of the road and let it sit fora few minutes before it'll start up, other times it'll start right back up no problem. This is great when merging into traffic, or on the interstate. Even a slight bend in the road will cause the piece of shit to just die. It doesn't happen on left turns, just right ones. I thought maybe a wire was loose and hitting steering linkage somewhere and causing a short, but I can sit and turn the wheel back and fourth and the car won't die.
If the engine in my truck wouldn't have gone Friday, this piece of shit would be for sale as someone else's problem, but it's currently the only vehicle that I can tow my trailer with. The Euro has 240k on the clock, so I don't want to put a hitch on that. I freaking hate this red car, it's been nothing but problems since I purchased the damn thing 4 years ago.
The car has a full tank of gas, and the pressure switch on the steering pump isn't an issue since it's any right turn, not a hard right. No SES light or codes

Yeah I'm hoping it's a lose wire somewhere, but I don't have the patience with this freaking car to track it down. The first thing that came to mind was fuel pump or fuel filter, but it has a full tank of gas and doesn't "starve" at high RPMs.
I'm just going to drive the Euro around until I give enough of a shit to work on this.

definatly a electrical issue, you easily find it dont worry! My buddies pathfinder would die on the left turns all the time and it was the batter cables.

I'm hoping it's the fuel pump relay, my girlfriend took it and she said the fuel pump wouldn't kick on after making the turn. I thought it might be the fuel pump, but I ruled that out since the engine wasn't starving for fuel, and it would only happen when turning right. I need to replace the relay and check the wires, but for now the piece of crap is at my grandmother's house because I don't want to even look at it right now

my stereo used to keep cutting out when i hit a bump... so i pulled it ALL out (subs amp deck speakers everything) looking for a short or pinched wire. after finding nothing something made me check the interior fuse panel, only to discover the radio fuse was LOSE!! lol so i bent the tabs on the fuse, just kinda twisted them a little and jammed it back in. never had a problem with it since.

It sounds like it could be the ECM because the car just DIES and then won't start (like the ECM fuse is pulled).
I know I had the ECM fuse out a while ago because I had to reset the computer, I really hope it;s just loose or something - that would be awesome.

Alright, well I've been meaning to come back here and post this but kept forgetting..
It's fixed!
My own stupid mistake actually....
It wasn't any of the fuses, I even pulled every one out and re-seated them. It was the freaking positive aux battery terminal nut. It was loose because I removed my foglights, and in the middle of working on the car I got distracted and went and did something else. needless to say I never tightened it up, and it was just finger tight. Move the car the right way, and the fusable links that power EVERYTHING would loose contact and the car would die. It makes perfect sence because the car wouldn't be receiving power from the alternator OR the battery.
Thank god it was a simple fix.
