I believe you can get the 3.29 gears from any 3100 powered car. Not sure about the 3.73's.

You need the 3.33 differential ratio and the 37-33 sprockets.

not to but in an take over the thread do you have to drop the whole trans to change gears?

If you look at an overhaul manual or and exploded view of the transmission I think you will find that you have to pull it out of the car.
While you are at it overhaul it and change the main seals in it and in the engine.
