As far as 3900 fuel econemy... have you actually owned one to know how they are?  Maybe they are alot better in the city?

i dont own one, so all i know is what the epa rating was.  the rating was a little low on my cobalt, but not by much.

MSN Autos claims the 07 Impy with the 3900 gets 20 city/29 highway.  The 04 Impy SS with the L67 gets 18/28...
