hey every one. i am not new to w-bodies or cars in genral but this is my first 1st gen w-body

the cars i currently own are a 1992 Chrysler Lebaron convertible. current engine is the 3.0L mitsubishi v6 i am in the middle of gather parts to doa turbo 2.5 intercooled swap to it. chrysler made this vary easy with how they designed the cars so it is not vary hard just need to get the parts

it also has the rare white interior i have only seen 2 mine and a one in a picture. it was not a vary popular option the red vertion was even less popular then the plack vertion that i have

a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquise that was used as an under cover car in dades county florida. has most of the cop items installed on it still has the brackets for push bars on the front and the siren wiring

2000 Grand prix GTX sedan that i am using as a parts car it was in an accident in 2007 and the hood was destroyed so GTP bades wher put back on.  still has the SLP driver door sticker removed the remaing SLP parts off of it. did not have mutch left it is going off to china soon

1999 GTP coupe bought after the GTX self imploded becuase of the effects of the rock salt ninjas that are invading the roads durring the winter months. it has recenved the remaning SLP parts from the GTX. the 35mm front sway bar, the 25mm rear sway bar, front are rear strut tower braces

and a 1995 Cutlass Supreme SL Series IV sedan i am guessing from my internet searching it has the 1SD rpo code and digital dual zone A/C with steering wheel controls. i got it for $200 the trailing arms became detached from the body so i am going to weld up the frame rails in the back and weld in second gen trailing arm brackets. it has a realy crapy Macco black paint job over the original teal metallic paint and a few other areas that need fixing. plan is to DD the car or fix it up and sell it only has 120,000 miles

That Cutlass doesn't look bad at all. It's optioned quite well. These cars really like the rot out at the real TA mounts.

Too bad that GTX is rotted out, those are some rare beasts. At least your saving it by putting it into the silver GTP.

I see your from MI. What part of the state? I'm by the Detroit area.

central michigan. Mt. PLeasant area

and yup found out the mounts are common it is the only major rust i have found on the under side of the car. unlike the GTX that has no flooor and is bowing int he center. i call it the banana Prix

and also if this post here is correct the cutlass is only 1 of 1200 that where built as a series IV trim sedan. that is pretty neat. too bad it does not help resale value at all lol maybe in 30 years i can take it to barret jackson and get big money  lol

LOL that's bad.

This car has been in MI it's whole life. But the first owner took very good care of it. It really doesn't have a lot of rust as a result.

That's a toughie removing old paint. All Macco does is prep wipe old paint and paint. You should probably have the whole car resprayed.

Shoot you could do it your self and save if your good with that sort of thing.

I hear ya there. I live in New England where they use 10lbs of salt for each snowflake. They're salting the roads already here, and we only got about 2"!! I've had to repair the TA mounts on both sides of my car due to rust. How are your lateral links? Mine are SHOT.

There not terrible.

Not terrible!?!? Dude that's freaking MINT compared to any car in New England.

They must have been replaced. I want adjustable lateral links, but I don't know if I'll EVER get the bolts removed that hold the current ones on. I don't think a torch would be a good idea either.
