Welcome
Thanks!! I have a few videos on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/LS4StoreI've a bunch more on a web site that I run that has links to LS4 parts; I can share the URL if anyone's interested. Nice Z34 in your signature -- my father had a black '96 that we dubbed the stealth lumina. It was a nice car. Wes

Hey, thanks! Yeah, when it came down to make the purchase and it was between the Impala, the Monte Carlo, and the GXP, it came down to styling -- I liked the way the Impala looked better than the others. But I definitely agree with what you're saying -- it does look pretty good. I want to get the wheels powder coated and the windows tinted this spring and hopefully that'll "complete" the look for now (but I'm not ruling out that MPD hood). It sounds pretty good too, especially with the cutout open! Wes

A cut out on that engine would sound like a beast.

Yeah.. it's pretty loud at idle and deafening at WOT. I have it after the catalytic converter in front of the Y for the mufflers.. it's right in front of the passenger-rear wheel. Wes

I had a cutout on my Lumina right after the [gutted] cat. It was obnoxious and that's only the 3.1

My muffler came off on my 3.1 holy crap was it ever loud. My CS I have dual magnaflow mufflers. It has some nice tone to it. But sometimes it's too loud since I don't have a cat or resonator.

I like the Magnaflows, but they're almost too quiet, especially with the resonator. Wes

My no longer owned Z34 had dual magnaflows with 2 3/4" pipe with a Y just after the rear and a resonator where the cat should be, and it sounded good when it warmed up, but cold it just sounded like a rice rocket.

I'm running 2.5 inch back to the mufflers. When I first had them installed they were kinda ricy sounding when cold. But after some miles they sound great. And the LQ1 is very hard to get to sound good without it being extremely loud.
The Magna flows I used were glass packs. So they should get louder as I break them in more.

Geez that really bad. I've cleaned mine a couple of times. I just take a rag and wipe 'em off and they are clean. I put corvette c6 tips on mine.
