My name is Tino. I joined a few days back but I haven't really had anytime to post on here. I have a 97.5 GS that I plan to start modding very soon. Thats if i do keep it.

lol. No I dont speak spanish. A little, given that I live here in new mexico. Unfortunately I couldnt buy the turbo cutlass. I will be buying a 96 bonneville sse n/a with 130k-ish on the odo. same price as the cutlass. Hopefully I can turbo this one and have two fun cars.

hell yeah, a turbo L36 would kick ass!  a Turbo Series II L67 would be even better (lower CR).

i like the CarTuning kit except the wastegate setup.  it only lets exhaust gas escape from the rear manifold (should be on the crossover pipe) and i'd rather have a turbo with an internal wastegate anyway.  why not turbo your Regal GS?

Nah. I love the L67. I would really want to mod it to get into 13's. I just love the whine. Now nobody would expect a turbo bonneville  biggrin  But of course that will take a long time for me to get to. I prefer the GS to get mods first. Its way nicer interior-wise also. The bonneville i'm getting needs some work first (basic tune-up...Etc). Its throwing a code, but i havent been to check that out. I'm picking it up tomorrow from some little funny old Vietnamese guy. He is going to clean it up first. It will have to be my beater car till i can get to it.

i don't get it.  if you really like the whine of the M90 than why not just hold out for an SSEi?  or swap an L67 into the '96 you are buying?  it would be alot easier and cheaper and still easily get you into the low 13s.  no one would expect a low 13 second Bonneville just like no one would expect a low 13 second Regal.

well i got the bonneville today. Not as much balls as the GS but still fun. I need to take it to autozone though to see what code its throwing. I wish i could've found a ssei  evil  but oh well. I never see any ssei's for sale in my area. A L67 swap seems out of the question for right now given my current funds. But not bad for $1700. Now I can let the regal rest for a while and save on gas with the L36  biggrin It would be nice if i had a ssei.
