I have a 92 Z-34. I bought it in 1999 with 34k miles. It now has 126K miles.

What I like about it:  The high roof line ergonomics fit my tall sitting height well. I also like the combination of the high revving LQ1 and the electronic shift control of the 4T60E. The AC is butt freezing cold even after conversion to 134-A.
What I dislike about it: The FWD and the no room to work engine compartment.

I can actually change my own timing belts and alternators. My original cam timing belt was in good condition when I changed it at 104,344 miles. The engine runs like a watch if there are no vacuum leaks. It is pretty much all original except I have changed the alternator twice and had it changed twice. Don't idle it in heavy summer traffic in Texas with the AC and the headlights on. The AC compressor has been replaced twice.

I currently have several things going on:
1. An oil leak somewhere down below. I think I will pull out the engine when it gets cooler and reseal everything in sight.
2. Have new struts to install for the front end and the rear struts are shot too.
3. The driver's door latch needs replacement.

When I get these issues fixed I am going to resume driving it to work.

My car is a weather beaten copy of your red one. Mine has tan interior.
It needs cleaning all over from several years of mostly sitting around.
The oil pump drive seal is  not leaking.
I don't remember if it has ever seen snow. I don't think so.
I was listening to the radio at a red light when they announced the local all time high record of 112 F had been set.

While there are a few nice ones around cheap I though about getting a small collection of the first and 2nd gen cars.
I got to have a Buick Grand Sport, an Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible and a Pontiac Supercharged GP-GTP.
Then I need to find a cleaner z-34 or restore mine.
I also want to build a supercharged 3.4 DOHC.
Nothing like being pwned by the 3.4l DOHC......

hmmm sounds like a good plan. last place mine was leaking oil was near the oil pump drive seal, but it was the PCV line. and the plate it connects to has a gasket that can go bad as well.
