Here are some pics of it in my 1995 Cutlass Supreme.

The Cutlass Supreme shifter is different than the newer one.  The Cutlass Supreme has the mounting bracket on the FRONT of the shifter, but the newer grand prix has the bracket on the REAR of the shifter.

The rear mount holes do not line up at all.  Also, the back of the console sticks up because the newer console is FLAT, but the older console is contoured to match the floor, so there is an overhang.  I don't mind it in my car because with the seats all the way back, you don't really see it.

Also, the PRNDL on the console will not work unless you figure out a way to make it work, or use the newer shifter.

Hmmmm......

I like the look.. Here is why I am looking for this console/install guide:

The lines of the console are much more suited to the interior lines of a Lumina, and perhaps a certain 94 Convertible in white..

..I am adding the 3 knob HVAC to my Lumina, this is no secret. So if I fiberglass it right, the console would just flow right into it more naturally.. ANy pics of it outside the car? Im looking for pics from all angles (Minus the bottom).. Aerial, left, right, etc..

..At the front, where it runs up and meets the dash, is that even? Meaning one side doesnt 'step' out in front of the other similar to the 94-6 GP one..

Thanks for the pics!!

x2

Even though they are BETTER than previous GP center consoles, I would think there's gotta be something nicer to swap in.   I also HATE those shifters, I'd put in a leather wrapped GA GT shifter  cool

I don't care for the Grand Prix shifter either.  That is why I am using the 2000 REGAL shifter.

I THOUGHT that I had bid on the 2005-2006 Grand Prix console, and did not realized until AFTER I hit the BID button that I had bidded on the older one.  Just as well.  I don't think the newest GP console would look that good in the older car.

Oh yeah, I like the newer cupholders over the older ones (especially seeing that my old ones were filled with dried chewed gum).

I like how this console is also LOWER.

My original console was REALLY messed up, and it was easier to just swap in this one.  The older one had the lid broken off, the PRNDL broken, and the cup holders filled with GUM.

Maybe you guys can answer this question for me:

THe areas indicated with the arrows.. When the console goes up toward the dash.. Are those even? What I mean do both sides go up into the dash at the same time? (Or relatively close to the same time).. My biggest gripe with the 94-6 GP console in the Lumina was the fact the right side went up much sooner than the left.. THe lumina's interior lines don't follow it that way..

..I hope what I am askking makes sense..

No, he modded a 94 GP console to house an 89 style DIC.
