Ok, what would you guys recommend for cutting out some speaker holes in this bitch? its carpet over some sort of thin particle board of some sort. im worried a jigsaw will just rip the shit out of the carpet, and a knife is a little too slow for my liking. does anyone have any other ideas? im open to suggestions.

lol a knife is one of the best ways without it looking really shitty, lol. When i did it on one of my cars, i removed the shelf, cut it from the back, then carefully cut the carpet. Worked nicley

yeah thats what i started with, i got the holes cut out where they had some slots for sound to go through... but they werent big enough to get my speakers in. lol but i think i might want to leave the thing out and just make my own.... does anyone know how to do that kind of thing?
when i was parked at home i wanted to sit in every seat of my car to hear the sound (front middle being the best IMO) and while sitting in the back middle i could FEEL the air blowing like crazy out of a hole about 2" by 3"  give or take just ahead of the CHMSL... and i think it would be sweet as pie to put an air port there for the trunk. -the car is being painted this summer sometime, so painting the speaker shelf with it wouldnt be a problem either, if it happened to be made of fiber glass or something...
maybe i should google it. lol

Dremel with a cut off tool?  Or I'd just remove it so you can make it real nice.
