sorry. i feel REALLY stupid asking this, but there are no little release buttons underneath, so whats the trick? is there a spring loaded ball on the end (like what holds the socket on your rachet) and i just have to force it out? or is there some other form of demonry holding it in?

just give it one quick firm pull and it comes right out
doing this breaks the holds and the headrest will not hold up or stay in if pushed up anymore...

well then i'm gonna do that.... its on the passenger seat anyway... anythings better than what it is now.... its not just that it makes it look ghetto as hell, buts its also deadly... if it were to be rear ended with someone in that seat, that metal plate would go right into thebase of their skull/ top of there neck... so yeah...

although.... maybe i should tuck the old headrest in the rafters for a rainy day... lol

my passenger one comes right out like that, but my drivers one i pulled and got nothing. as for the lumina, never tried. but the regal had two metal spikes on the bottom of the headrest, im pretty sure the lumina is on one aluminum flat bar.
