So, I have this '95 Cutlass now, and it has no SWRC or ECC.

First: I want SWRC. I have a donor car ('94 Cutlass) with SWRC. I'm assuming the wiring from the C200 back is there, I just would need to install the column and then put the socket into the C200?

I'm installing the whole column because the TSS is causing brake light issues on the '95.. I'll just add SWRC and shoot two birds with one stone.

Also, I don't really want dual-zone, but is it possible to wire an ECC box to control the various functions (floor, defog, blend, etc and temp control) of the HVAC just by adding the temp sensors and obviously wiring it properly? I'm not familiar with how the ECC box interfaces compared to the regular HVAC box.

Figured I'd just make it a post rather than a PM.

several issues.

First of all, you will probably need to either swap out the ignition key cylinder (for the chip), or swap out the passkey 2 module so that the car can start.

The wiring is the easy part.

for the ECC, in theory, you can do it.  It might give you an error for not seeing the passenger switch, but it should still work.  You just wire it so that the DRIVERS SIDE temp door motor is wired to the only temp door motor that you have.

You will also have to swap out the blower resistors with a blower controller.

I have the key for the car the column is coming out of. Is the related VATS hardware in/on the column?

nope.  There is a seperate module.  The 1994 has it near the brake pedal (it has a GREEN CONNECTOR and is way up in there.  The 1995 has it under the passenger airbag.  You have to remove the glove box, and get it from the bottom.

Depends on how experianced you are.  Swapping the module out would probably be easier if you are a skinny guy with small arms.  A fatass like me would need to do the key.

I'll swap the module, as long as they're the same thing. Either that or I'll wire in a resistor. I'll be balls-deep in the interior as it is, might as well do it right.

I'll have easy access to the C200 since I'll be swapping carpet. This should be fun. Hope the weather holds out, it's fairly warm right now.

the steering wheel control wiring is the easy part.  You can do that mostly from the C202 connector (at the steering column).  It does not go that much further, and a lot of cars are prewired for it.

As for the digital climate control, that is not an easy swap.  I did it in my 1988, and it is a MAJOR deal.

You have to totally pull the dash out to install the aspirator, and then the wiring is nothing alike (not a plug n play thing).
