I am driving the 89 Cutlass around that has a gutted interior (no door panels or back seats, no headliner) and which heating system really sucks. Up here its been really cold (-30 C, -22 F)

I want to get the Buick running asap, it has an electrical problem where, while driving the needle starts going crazy then the motor shuts off. Turning on the left or right turn indicator will also set it off. Then it will not start up again for a long time.

At this point I am thinking of changing the PCM, although it may be a grounding issue. I want to try replacing the PCM. Should i find a PCM from a 97 buick or can I use any PCM from a w-body with an l36?
