Any possible causes? the only things i can say are that i drove on saturday night from hours out of town, the worst i got was a wet road. no problems all sunday, then today getting in the car before work i notice that my tail lights didnt blink with my aftermarket remote entry....
so i figure, oh its just a fust. pop a new one in, and popped it right back out. i looked around a little, i checked where my trailer plug connects to the hitch cover, and unplugged it with a new fuse and it still blew... any ideas anyone? is there somewhere it could be rubbing im not knowing about?

oh yeah, i did my starter too, i dont see how its related... but just in case.

did someone's s10 that had the same issue.   basically... look for any place on the car where a wire could be getting pinched and shorted to ground.  You will have to check every wire near the lights, front and back.  on this S10, the passenger front turn/marker light was chaffing against the bumper.  some rtv and a thick wrapping of electrical tape fixed it.

ALSO... pull and check all the multi-filament bulbs such as the rear brake lights and front turn signals for broken and crossed filaments nthat could be causing the short...

sounds good, i know all brake and signal lights work, just tails. im going to check for pinched interior bulbs and dash bulbs too, maybe from my HUD install.
Are they on the same fuse?
