Welcome, I hope I found a great and resourceful site for my Buick.

Some info, My mom inherited the car back in Winter 2007 and I have driven it since then from 19,200 miles to the current 43,000 miles.  So far only thing I needed to replace was a tie rod, but it just got new tires, oil changes every 3,000, had the radiator flushed and filled about 2k miles ago.

I plan on it needing a new battery soon, 7 yrs old.  The car I keep in amazing condition and just bought it from my mom for $4500.

I was reading the manual and it says change the trans fluid and filter at 50,000 so I will do that, but I would think in the future it should probably be changed again at like 75k, and in 25k mile intervals afterwards.

Does it need a tuneup?  It runs strong and does 32mpg+ on the expressway.

Fuel Filter?  I thought because there has been 7 yrs of gas that has gone thru it, now would be a good time when the trans gets serviced.

I know when I stop from going fast the rotors you can feel are a little warped but I know by 50-55,000 I will be doing new brakes, so it will be taken care of then.

What all do you recommend aside from the tranny fluid, filter, fuel filter.

Welcome to the site.  The century are pretty nice cars.  I thought about getting one, and doing some minor work to them, but time and money are tight right now.

50,000 miles is pretty standard for the trans fluid service.  One piece of advice is do NOT get the tranny FLUSHED.  Just do a drain, filter, and fill.

Tuneup is recommended every 100,000 miles, but I personally do them every 25,000-50,000.  I know that is kinda often, but the plugs and wires are cheap for the 3100.

I replace the fuel filter every 5th oil change, or once a year.  You can go a long time, but they are cheap, and easy to do.

Get a new air filter for it, and when you do the oil change, get a DELCO filter.  Do NOT ruin the car by putting anything with FRAM on it, in it.
