Since its got the DOHC, and I have basically a limited knowledge about them, anything I should look for when I go to look at it tomorrow?  Its listed in the local want ad as:

1992 LUMINA Z34
3.4L/V6, auto, 110kmi, PW/PL, AC, tilt, cruise, sunroof, runs excel, $2000   B/O

I mean I know I need to look at the shape that its in etc etc, but really, anything I should look out for? Sorry for the noobish question...

For the 3.4? Just make sure maintenance was done. Bring a 8mm with you and take the cover off the t-belt and check that.

Ask when the last time a tune-up was done, and if the intake gaskets were done. Other than that you should be fine.

The sunroof, is going to be a dealer installed item otherwise its aftermarket. Make sure it doesn't leak.

The only auto 3.4 I've driven was/is my sisters. Granted it has close to 200k but the thing really isn't fast.

The autos and manuals are completely different animals.

And his car is a step up from your 3.1MPFI.

I've driven a 97 MC Z34 and although it was quite a bit faster than my car on the highway, it just didn't have enough balls in the city for my taste.     Now toss in a 5-speed and we're talking wink
