Someone once told me the Beretta is a W-Body..... Is it?

That someone was probably thinking convertible like the Cutlass, it was announced as "coming" but never came, I forget if the Beretta convertible ever had pace car duties.  They made some, but never made production Beretta convertibles.

The Generation I 3.1L V6 was an astonishing feat of engineering as it had the best of both worlds:

The power of a 4-cylinder, yet the fuel economy of a V8.

I think the actual pace car was a convertible.  And it got crushed because of the lack of stability and safeness.

Yes, there is one...The pics of it are on my other computer which is dead at the moment, once it's up and running I will post them or I'm sure someone here has them.

Apparently a VERY eccentric gentleman owns it.

I'd PM you, but PMs aren't working for some reason.

GM really, really dropped the ball on that one, first they announced that the car would in production in 1990, it never was, and furthermore, they halted production on the Cavalier convertible to make room for those.

I don't think that it was the car's weren't safe, but they couldn't make them in a way that economical, aestetically pleasing and without reinforcing every other single thing.
