i went to the local j/y yesterday to look for a donut spare.  well i got one but it turned out to be from an '88-'93 W-body, which rubs against the front and rear calipers on my car due to brake upgrades i've done.

so i went back today to see if i could find a '94+ W-body i could swipe the donut spare from, and the guy tells me "i think i have a Lumina you might check".  so i go out there and find this white '95 Lumina LS.  but the strange thing is, even with the LS badges it has dual exhaust?  i pop the hood and sure enough there's an LQ1 sitting in there.  i checked the VIN, SPID tag and sure enough it's a '95 Lumina LS that just happened to come with the LQ1.  even the tach redline was 7k.  i thought the 1.5 GEN Lumina was only available with the LQ1 in LTZ trim?

anyway, onto my REAL find biggrin  i spotted a bright red '91 Cutlass Supreme International Series sedan!  YES!  so i go over and the BYP skirting i've been looking for is in MINT shape, and since it's a '91 the rear skirting has dual outlets for the exhaust unlike the rear skirting on my car now that came from a '90 International sedan.  so i look inside the car and low and behold it has the seats i've been looking for FOREVER now.  they are the blue cloth 'tweed' style like my car originally came with but obviously they're bucket seats not bench.  they were pretty dirty but i'm sure they'll clean up fine.  he told me he'd take $100 for the seats and skirting so long as i pull it so i'll be busy tomarrow.  i'll get some pics.

i also seen my old Turbo STE - it was in the 'crusher pile' so looks like that car is going to be about 1 foot tall pretty soon sad  oh well, not much you can do about rust.

Yep, the exact same person I was thinking of.

I believe there were a few off and on members that have had 3.4 LS's.

well i got my parts....everything but the front BYP skirting :x  i did find a good 16" donut spare from a '95 Monte Carlo though so that's good.

snapped some pics of my old Turbo STE while at the j/y today.  there is a Grand Prix SE sitting on top of it lol  these cars are in the "crusher" pile:

the '95 Lumina LS with the LQ1 i spotted:

and the '90 Cutlass Supreme International Series sedan i found.  i thought it was the '91 sedans that had dual exhaust but i guess it's the other way around.  i bought the seats and BYP side & rear skirting off of it.  unfortunately the BYP front bumper was replaced sometime in it's life with a base model front bumper :x (and a chrome grille from the looks of it).  i REALLY wanted that piece sad  i started it up and it the 3.1 was knocking BAD with only 130,000 miles too.  strangely enough this bright red car came with BLUE tweed style cloth buckets which i have been looking for forever now!  now i can finally get rid of my ugly ass uncomfortable light gray leather seats and my warped to shit BYP side skirting and hacked up rear skirting.

DAMMIT!

if i had the cash i'd buy the rear bumper and have it repainted to match my car, but i'm way too short on time/money for that.
