none of the interior lights on my 97 cutlass supreme coupe work. even if you turn the little dial for the dimmer to turn the inside lights on they dont. what should i be checking? thanks.

first thing to check is the COURTESY fuse.  That is the fuse that controls the lights

Next, I would pull ONE of the bulbs out to see if it is burned out.  If the bulb is good, then you have a short somewhere.

My friends 1997, they pulled the fuse because the lights never turn off.  I need to check that out for them.

if the fuse is good (pull it out and look at it, don't just make sure it is there), and the bulbs are good, you need to get a voltmeter, or multimeter that can test continuity and start doing some testing.
