oh yeah i forgot. i had to modify the inside of the HUD for it to work at a different angle in my car. hahaha i just changed the angle of the mirror, and cleaned them both up. ill post some pics of the inside of the HUD if anyone is curious.

all in all it wasnt a hard modification, and it works for alot better of a height range in my ride.

so thats the inside of the model i have, well i have two now. this is the one i modded, but didnt take pictures because it was too barbaric. lol i just shortened the arm that pulls on the second bigger mirror.  it puts it at a harder angle and makes it visible while the HUD isnt at such a nose down angle like it sits in the GP. since my dash is flatter (is that a real word) more level i guess. doesnt slope forward. i had to make this change, or i had to sit on a phone book everywhere i went. the change sounded like more fun.

i know this is an old thread, but according to this link:

i havent got a wire in my C100 for the 2nd gear start. does this mean i have to run one to the ecm or transmission? i REALLY want a 2nd gear start and its gettin icy out lately. my car likes so spin. and it also LOVES to spin. those two things dont really help me too much on my way to work.

Forgive my dumbassishness, but, what exactly are the pros and cons of 2nd gear start? When do I want to use it? Should it be in neutral when I turn it on? Does it eat excessive gas?

My neighbor said she had an 90 Pontiac Grand Prix and it went really well in the snow, so that makes me have high hopes that my car will go really well in the snow. I mean, how bad could it be? Front wheel drive, 2nd gear start, ABS, right? By the way, she she loved her GP and only got rid of it because the rust got too bad. She now has a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero.

its old school traction control. it omits 1st gear when starting from a dead stop, even if you floor it, it will use 2nd gear. making it harder to spin the tires.

you should be fine in the snow and stuff. the 2nd gear start is more for slow traffic conditions or like i said before, taking off from the line (not racing, just driving)

-dont worry about this supposed hijack. i know how to handle pirates.
