Random question that popped into my head... has anyone here ever tried to convert their H4351 sealed beam (the low beam for the miniquads) to a 9006 halogen capsule bulb? The socket/wiring is the same. Essentially the H4351 is a 9006 with a glass box around it. My father says it can't be done, I'd say you probably could if you're very careful (remove the bulb from the H4351 and put the 9006 inside). Reasons for doing this include the fact that its a lot cheaper to replace the 9006 bulb, plus you can use a higher end bulb like a Wagner TruView whereas with the sealed beams you're just stuck with the halogens (part of my reason for asking is I'd like brighter headlights for my car...).

im gonna convert mine to HID headlights soon. i hate normal incandescent bulbs.
other than that the only conversions ive heard of are BMW M3 headlights in the Lumina Housing, or to just have all the lights on with the high beams

Thats to convert to all H4352s... I'm talking taking the bulb out of the lens and making it into a 9006 headlamp capsule inside the lens

Correct me if I'm wrong... but didn't the Camaro share the same miniquads with the GP and the Cutlass? If so... there may be an investment in this kit in my future. (Oddly enough this kit is cheaper than 2 4351 bulbs at retail price...)
From my knowledge and information, yes they fit and will work.

I work at napa and we sell Wagner True View versions of the sealed beam lamps, they work 100x better than just swapping from a regular 9006 to 90006TV but they may not be avalible, i would check other suppliers for a Xenon or bright version. Sealed beams period are WAY better than capsule bulbs in terms of how well they light up the road. I mean how often to your really change your healdights, im going on 3 years with my 6000's headlights, and who knows how long the previous owner has had them in. I wouldnt do it...

We don't carry sealed beam Wagner TruView, we just carry the capsules in TruView. I've never replaced a headlight in my car (though I've only owned it since August) and can't remember ever replacing the headlights in any of my family's vehicles (except when that deer ran into our old '91 Safari). The standard miniquad headlights SUCK at night. My headlights are dim to the point of almost being dangerous, and they aren't helped much by the fogs or the highs. Returning home in pitch black darkness on this road which is dark, narrow and windy with trees SUCKS and is dangerous. I'm getting that kit that is marketed for camaros which comes with the Xenons, and I will eventually be upgrading to HIDs.

In wentachee Washington. Why not do one of the headlight mods or swaps to different numbers like tons of people have done to improve thier lights, hacking some 9006 bulb into a sealed housing isnt going to make ANY gains, probably end up being worse! have fun with those super whites and blue/purple lights, they glare back on heavy snow and fog like a bitch and just blind you back and you dont see shit. Yellow lights FTW!
