what can a guy expect from a Lumina 3.1 Euro its a little bit off from the colour of my car (listed as Gun Metal Grey) or gun barrel, i dunno. 2 door, spoiler, single pipe, and the interior is piled with shit so i couldnt even see the dash, its pretty rough, but its really cheap. how are the motors? are the 3.1s any good? how about the euro luminas, what makes it so euro?

2 door is good.
Euro is basically the grill, spoiler, and rims.
The 3.1 is pretty much bullet proof, as long as you take care of it.
My 2.8 (just a destroked 3.1) lasted me 313,368 MILES before I pulled it, and when I DID pull it, it was to put in my custom built engine.

Euro package is a stiffer suspension, different gauge cluster, red trim on the outside, spoiler, and wheels.
I miss mine, I want to find another!

Not necessarily, Matt. I went and looked at one IDENTICAL to your old Loomy (you would have shit yourself, 65,000 original mile light driftwood 1994 sedan, always garaged and owned by an elderly couple and they wanted $1600 for it) and it had the base gauge cluster, but was a Euro.

My Euro didn't have a spoiler and I've seen them with 14" and 15" wheels as opposed to the 16".

It's my opinion that if the car is 1993 down, fuggetaboutit, if it's 1994 up, then something to think about. If the car is that poluted it doesnt' say much about how it's been cared for. I only say this because the engine changes, it's a little more powerful, a little more prone to problems such as the intake manifold etc, but I've been looking around here very carefully and while there's lots of 1994's on the road, it's neddle in a haystack finding a 1993 or 1992, and the only difference in those years is the engine really. There's some other minor things too. Airbags, no airbags, but not much. The original 3.1 might also be a little less desired for cold starts. Go a little newer, since I'm assuming that you're looking '92 & '93.

The Generation I 3.1L V6 was an astonishing feat of engineering as it had the best of both worlds: The power of a 4-cylinder, yet the fuel economy of a V8.

I'd love to own a pre-94 w-body some day, but it would have to be MINT condition. I'd probalby have to buy it from someone on this forum or w-body.com cause it would cost too much and be too much to restore one.

Hmm..interesting! And you should've told me! I would've come down and fucking bought it!!! And Euro's always came with red trim...that's the only real exterior way of it being a Euro(besides the badges). But spoilers and 15" wheels were options as well up to I think 92.

yeah its got red trim, and one of the mag wheels (or whatever you want to call it) lol baisicly i want it because it has buckets, a center console... and maybe the spoiler (im getting a GS kit and i want to play with the looks a little and im thinking of beriding myself of this grandmas trunk rack) from the knees up the car looks ok, rusty down, and has lots of paint chips and a smashed grille, lol has the red trim, and i cant see the cluster (its also covered in snow) but i park beside it daily. lol i never noticed it till one of my friends was drunk and i was giving him a ride home and he thought my door handle had broken! hahaha i was like no, wrong car, but wait a minute!! what are two wheels doing on the hood of that w-body? hey wait a minute!! its a euro lumina! so i asked my neighboor, and shit, i can have it for like $75 if that.

I think 90 may be the only year the euro could be had without red trim. I saw a blue euro in an inpound with silver subbed for the red......
not all euros received spoilers
not all euros received tape deck radios or better
not all euros had power windows
not all euros had aluminum rims!!!!!!!!
not all euros had OD transmissions!!!!!!!
