Where can I find new exterior door handles that ain't junk? Mine still work, but they stick out at the top. I'm afraid they'll break if I try to straighten them.

I bought a new one off of ebay like a year and a half ago now. It's not bad. The finish does have more orange peel in the paint then I'd like. I think advanced or auto zone sells Dorman door handles. They are more expensive than the ebay ones but seem to be of a better quality.

I personally think the OEM handles are the best no aftermarket ones seem to be up to par with the OEM ones. I try to pick them up at the junkyard when ever I see them.

I'm just starting to look for them, I don't need them immediately. I just want to know where to get them when I am ready. I'll check ebay and the parts stores near me to see what they got. Thanks.

yeah, do NOT try straightening the factory handles, IIRC, they're die-cast and don't tolerate it at all.

they will break if you try bend them. i saw a reproduction set at NAPA a while back *it was a southtown auto but same name in the end.

I have a four-door and I've had two handles snap off in my hand before. I believe they're cast aluminum and they just get weak after 20+ years of abuse
