well, the day started out as a slow work day... then my shop foreman told me "If you want that motor, you better tell me now. Theres two guys looking at it" so i said yeah take it.... tomorrow at noon it arrives at my work, i bought an LQ1. Right?? hahaha 3.4L DOHC
then the day started gettin better as i thought about just taking pictures of the motor.... i got home, and the guy i was gonna buy the car off of just called me and told me he was wondering if i would like to take the car for the offer he had, so i said, shit yeah. ill take that car.... but i cant get it till saturday or sunday. THEN i have to wait for the motor swap... omfg this is gonna take forever. might as well go and pay my tickets one of these days.

thats another $2,000 BTW HAHAHAHA ohhhhh my.

lol for now ill stick with an auto. i think i forget how to drive stick, every time i take my gfs car out its fun, but weird. lol
hey, is there anything i can do to the motor while its out to help it out. things i can check or whatever. can i get a bigger throttle body on it? ill have the engine out of the car for atleast a week before i can get the transplant started. so why not drop it in with a little more go power, ya know?
how tough is the swap? should i just try it myself? i swapped a few transmissions, ive done a head in my first car, lol good ol nissan pulsar.
is it really as easy as unplugging one or two harnesses, the coolant and transmission lines, disconnect the steering rack from the column, fuel lines, mark the strut towers and drop the subframe? cuz i know if i can get the subframe with the drive train out, then i can get it swapped myself. but ive never taken a motor out before. i can honestly say, im a little scared about it.

And I know how you feel about sticks...lol I hadn't driven one in 10 years until we got the 5 speed GP...I didn't kill it taking off though! So it is like sex or riding a bike. LOL

yeah i get practice with her car, but its also a pig on gas and if youre not careful you can end up backasswards pretty quick. shes got a 2002 mustang gt 5spd with a bunch of shit done to it... its pushin almost 400hp (Yeah its no 9 second car or nothing like that) but its fast enough to give me a chubby.

will have some pics of the motor, but i havent slept all night so they might be kindof rough, better use a tripod. i get the motor at about lunch time. (6 Hours)
