so, my lumina seems to have a "Ghost" in the system somewhere. i'll be driving along, my dash lights will go out, then, fade back in a second later.

Then, when i turn my ignition to ON, the headlights come on reguardless of how light it is outside, or what position the headlight switch is in. When I turn the key forward to crank it, the lights go off, but come back on as soon as the engine turns over.

once they come back on, sometimes it will use the low beam bulb, sometimes it will be the high beam bulb.

Also, when the DRL lights (i'm assuming thats why the lights come on when the ignition key is at ON) come on, the parking lights are on as well.

i used a multimeter to backprobe into the connector into the DRL module, and i have power where it should be, and ground where it should be.

nothing seems to be crossed, but there were a few wires wrapped in electrical tape. removal of the tape did not show signs of splicing.

Any ideas?

As far as the dash lights, have you had the alternator checked?  Do they go completely out, or is it just a fade to extremely dim?

For the DRL module, did you check the resistance of the wires leading up to the DRL module and away from it...  I don't have the appropiate vales that it should test at, but I am sure someone on here will...  It sounds like there could be a problem with the DRL module itself...
