#1, how does a guy wire up his switches so he has an auto down on both sides?
#2 does anyone have wiring codes for a grand prix DIC? i can make it turn on, but thats about it. haha

what year grand prix DIC?

that is the easy one to answer.

idk the exact year, but it comes from a gen 1 W, and it has 11 wires sprouting from its plug. two orange ones, a pink one, couple black ones.... maybe a purple. who knows? lol

There are 3 different GEN 1 ones for the Grand Prix.

1988-1993 and 1994-1995, and 1996.

1988-1993 has it mounted in the center console, which 1994-1996 has it mounted in the dash.

This is the 1988-1993 one that is in my 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix STE.

I can get you the wiring when I get home (I am at work right now, but I should be off in an hour, or so).

Just so you know, in your car, it will not display any of the warnings.  That is an STE thing only, and requires a special control module that is only in the STE.

It will display the compass, and then stuff like oil change, average speed, etc, but the door ajar, hood and trunk ajar, etc, that is STE specific.

Okay.  Here is the wiring pinout.

There are 2 rows or wires.

A1 - ORANGE - ELEC FUSE (15 AMP)
A2 - PINK/BLACK - CLUST FUSE (10 AMP)
A3 - BROWN - PARK/HEAD LIGHTS FROM HEADLIGHT SWITCH
A4 - RED/WHITE - DATA INPUT (STE ONLY)
A5 - BROWN/WHITE - DIM CONTROL FROM HEADLIGHT SWITCH
A6 - DARK GREEN - VSS (VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR FROM CLUSTER)
A7 - ORANGE - SERIAL DATA INPUT FROM THE ALDL
A8 - BLACK - GROUND

B1 - LIGHT GREEN/BLACK - ANTILOCK INDICATOR (STE ONLY)
B2 - BLACK - LAMP MONITOR SELECT (STE ONLY)
B3 - GRAY - INTERIOR LIGHTS (BACKLIGHTING)
B4 - YELLOW - DATA INPUT (STE ONLY)
B5 - LIGHT BLUE - E/M OUTPUT (ENGLISH/METRIC)
B6 - PURPLE - FUEL SENDER INPUT (CAN BE TAKEN FROM THE CLUSTER)
B7 - DK GREEN/WHITE - DATA INPUT (STE ONLY)
B8 - BLACK - GROUND
