no, i would take the car to work and drop the tank while the car is on a hoist using a transmission jack and some wood... using ur wood to get the job done always gets it dun better. wink

That's exactly how I changed the tank on my Lumina... Put it up on the lift, and dropped the tank using a transmission jack. Made life SO much easier.

Well, if the pump was disconnected and the car still ate the fuse; replacing it won't help any.

relay or oil pressure sensor.
have u tried teplacing the relay in the same little box?

maybe you should just let the wire burn and that will be the trail to follow?

nah, the voltmeter kinda missed something BUT today i pulled out a fuel pump from another car thats known good. problem is the power wire was shorting to a ground SOMEWHERE and the voltmeter wasnt picking up on it, but today with a second pump hooked up externally ran a wire off the grey fuel pump wire directly to the battery with a 15A fuse in it and the pump kicks right on. Then also tsted the pump thats in the car like that and it kicks on as well.

dun dun dunnnnnnn ,Got it to start and run

problem was a combination of things, 1st the car wasn't getting fuel but bypassed the entire fuel pump circuit and ran a fused wire back from the battery to the fuel pump and it kicks on now. now the kicker part to all of this is the one fuse in the right hand electrical center wasn't getting ANY power at all and its suppose to be a HOT AT ALL TIMES wire that has a fusible link in it. by passed that and ran it to the battery as well and she fired and settled into a loud but steady idle (right now its open down pipe haha)

But as of right now im looking at a complete rewire of the fuel pump circuit and a possible bypass of the said power wire which can be done in the electrical center itself off the large red power wire.

And also heres a vid for anyone interested, had a small vacuum leak going and was getting a bit to much air that run but it runs nonetheless.
