Well the rear bumper on the Cutlass is pretty much done. Its faded/oxidized really bad. Ive thought about re-painting it, but its more than I wanna spend right now. Its mainly the top of the bumper, and the rear face. Is there anything you guys would recommend that might be able to help this out short of repainting it?

Thanks

Have you tries rubbing compound? Like by hand? and trying to bring back some luster into the paint? Short of that, theres not much you can do. Repainting isnt too bad if you take it off yourself and have a shop paint it. Maybe 2-300 bucks?

Pics?

Like prospeeder said depending how bad it is you might be able to polish it.   I know the dealership charges an internal rate of about $350 (CND) to take off/paint/reinstall bumpers, but they are expensive.  $200 should definatly be in the price range, if not cheaper.

If you don't wanna spend the cash and you are decent with a spray can, get Duplicolor color match in spray cans (2-3 cans) for 3 coats and then 3+ coats of clear.  First sand it with 400-600 grit so the paint will stick.  I did the spoiler on my GP and it turned out awsome (wetsanded it afterwards and polished it up too).
