I will check on the white wire when I get home. I grabbed my Aurora book. It has a similar switch, and the white wire goes to the HIGH MOUNT STOP LIGHT, but I think that is a BLUE wire on the W-body.
I will check it out when I get home.

Alright, well the white wire controls the 3rd brake light along with the other inboard brake lights. There is another circuit for the turn/brakelights (I can't remember the color of the wire off the top of my head). I cut both wires and spliced them together. I then ran this to a two position toggle switch. In position 1 the brake light signal goes through the modulator, in position 2 the modulator is bypassed. I also have a similar setup for my blinkers. I have a modulator AFTER the electronic flasher, so the blinkers blink & strobe. The 2-position switch either puts the signal through the modulator, or bypasses it all together. I did this so when I'm towing a trailer WITHOUT LED tail/brake lights it will not burn the fuses in my modulators. I made custom LED tail/brake lights for my snowmobile trailer, but if I happen to tow something other than my trailer, I want the car to be protected.
I finally found my shit digiecam so I can update this thread with a video, and if I ever remember - pics.

i know EVERYTHING there is to know about tail light wiring, signal converters, trailer lighting (on the tow vehicle and the trailer) im too lazy to read, but if you need some help with a product that can accommodate to your needs im more than happy to help. (so far it sounds like all you need is a load balancing flasher)

sounds over complicated is all, to me, everything should be compatible. if it plugs into one trailer why should something be different for it to plug into another one, or why does it need something external to plug into a trailer? have you heard of a powered tail light converter?

I don't have the slightest idea what the hell you just said...
I have a bypass switch for the modulators because they're only designed for LED lights. If you try to power a halogen light, it'll burn the modulator fuse. They only have an output of 2-3A @ 12v, and with the high-powered LEDs I'm running (and the amount of them) I'm already pushing it... If I hooked a trailer up to my car with halogen lights, the second I put the blinker on it would burn the fuse for the turn signal modulator, and as soon as I touched the brakes it would burn the fuse for the brake modulator. The modulator bypass allows me to pull a trailer without LED lights.
EDIT: I took pictures and some videos yesterday, I'm uploading the videos to YouTube now...

I will be updating these videos with 720p ones in the near future, but for now they'll get the point across. LED Blinkers w/ Modulator:
LED Blinker Indicators w/ Modulator:
LED Brake Lights w/ Modulator:
LED Brake & Turn Modulators:

the fronts look awesome! i take it you had to add a bulb in there? how come you switched the brake lights and the signals around? (on my car the ouside are brake while the next set of inside 3157s are signal/brake, and then the two little useless ones next up are just tail lights.

Yeah, I've relocated the turn signals in my last two Luminas, I hate the ones in the grille. I'm not going to do that to the Euro because I have other plans for those housings. I switched the position of the turn signals because I hate how they're in the middle. Every time I'm behind a Lumina and see the turn signals, I think they look retarded. I also modded the inner housings to accept standard 3157's so they act as brake lights also, I hated how they were only tail lights. Just hate, lots of hate to the OEM design

I want to upgrade my GP's tails and turn signals to LEDs. When I have income again, that is. It's going to my mechanic next week to get the ball joints done, and the tires mounted, balanced, and installed (I bought the ball joints a while ago and my dad got the tires for me for Christmas). Next after that will be that headlight kit, and THEN I'll do LEDs

lol maybe. i think it was car and driver that did a direct comparison on them, and its a pretty good match too. the SHO has like 225HP stock, from a DOHC V6... now, what does an LQ1 put out? i think the taurus weighs about as much as a Wbody too. im not sure though. if you ask me the Z34 looks cooler than any taurus (except the BRAND NEW SHOs LOL omfg i could rape one of those if someone left me alone with it long enough)
Post Merge: January 10, 2010, 01:55:20 PM oh yeah, i want to get rid of the lights for better air flow. in the summer my car seems to get too hot. imo
Post Merge: January 10, 2010, 02:10:07 PM hey it even redlines @ 7k, has 220hp stock and i cant find anyone with the same number twice for torque, but it seems to be over 200ft-lbs too.

It seems like all Ws have overheating problems. Well, not overheating, but too hot. My cooling fan seems to take too long to kick on, even since replacing the relays and the sensors. Reminds me, neighbor down the street that has a GP almost identical to mine, I talked to him. His is a 94 and he says the cooling fans dont work at all. It also leaks gas, his sunroof doesn't work either, needs new rear struts like mine did, steering wheel buttons for radio don't work, etc, etc. His has 150,000 miles on it though, i believe.
I think the LQ1 came stock with 210 HP.
