this one about the exterior door handles.

I have had SEVERAL people tell me that you have to have convertible specific exterior door handles for the convertible. This is NOT TRUE.

One of mine broke, so I swapped in the one from my 1988 (which is not going anywhere any time soon).

There is only 1 difference that I can tell between the coupe and the convertible door handle. The convertible has an extra screw that the coupe does not use. The coupe has a tab you could drill a hole into to add the screw, but I didn't do this as I feel it is not really needed.

I had like 7 or 8 people tell me that the vert was different.

The only w-body that I knew for a FACT was not compatible was the LUMINA. It has a completly different door handle (I have a comparison pic somewhere).

I will take a pic of the vert handle to show the difference later on.
