WOO-HOO!!!!!

I finally have an issue with my car that I CAN'T FIX WITHOUT HELP!!!!!

All you people that thought I was hot shit, and I told you I was not, you can all EAT IT.

LOL

Seriously, my first issue with the convertible.  The top does not want to go up.  The PASSENGER SIDE will start to lift, but the drivers side will stay down.  I have to lift it up as high as I can with the button, then manually pull up on it (it was starting to rain, and I was in a hurry).

Does anyone know what the problem might be, or can someone scan me the troubleshooting section for the top?  This is info I DO NOT HAVE!!!!!

Well hell...Was the car on uneven ground? Sometimes that will cause it.

Otherwise, it never had an issue with that. I know the top motor was replaced about 2 years before I bought it.

Actually, yes, it was on uneven ground.

I tried it again on even ground, and it does the same thing.  The pump is going really slow, and takes almost 15 seconds before it starts to move the top.

Is it possible the fluid level is low?  What kinda fluid does the top pump use anyways?

Heyt Jay.  Guess what.  I fixed the chime module, power locks, and power antenna.  You know what was wrong with them?  BAD FUSE.  Someone had put a 5 amp fuse that had blown.  It was suppose to be a 10 amp.

I stuck a new fuse in there, and it works fine now.

Also, is there a reset button for the ALARM?  When I got the car, the alarm would chirp when you hit the lock and unlock buttons.  Now, it does not.  I pulled some fuses when checking some things, and I think they did it.  How can I get the chirp back?

I found the button for the rest, but it turns out it was broken.  Fortunantly, I had a spare button, so I put that in, and reset it, and now the alarm works the way I want it too.

I put in the digital gauges cluster, but I think I am going to take it back out.  I like it, but it really does not seem to go as good on the 1994.  If it was a 1993 or older, I would keep it, but for this car, I think the Analog would be better.

I am also going to try to fix the vacuum leak, and rough idle issue tomorrow.

I took part of the interior apart and found the problem with the top.

Anyone know where I can get another one of these things?

Also, Jay, are you missing and 11mm socket?  Craftsman brand?

When I went to take out the passenger rear seat back, there was a socket stuck on the nut that holds it in.

I don't need the whole cylinder.  Just the screw thing on the end.  It only broke off half way, so I am going to tap it out further, and try to reinstall it.  I am going to go to the parts store, and the hardware store and fine a repalcement one.  I have seen them before, but not that big.

And that should teach you that you can't push hard on the top when you want it all the way down. You have to be easy on it or that happens.
