Last time it rained, I had 4 inches of water in the cover well. Today I found the leak.
The whole top of the rear glass is not sealed to the top. When you put the flaps in, the top actually goes under the glass and lets water in.
What can I use to seal the top of the glass (what can seal glass to plastic/canvass)?

it's not an alignment issue. It is a glue seperation issue. It is like the complete glass itself is coming off of the rear window panel. I will try to get a pic of it tomorrow.

the kid at my work brought his 2006 mustang (v6) to a stereo shop today for a stereo, and alarm/starter install... $1800 later.... he found out they broke his rear window and that the only way to replace it was to have it re stitched into the top... they also said they werent going to pay for it, we find out tomorrow what their final answer is.
(he left some shit where it opens and the installer wanted it open to set a sensor for the alarm...) but i think he should have looked to see if it was clear or not.

Here is some pics of what had happened. I went to the parts store today and got some 3M HEAVY DUTY double sided tape that is weather proof. I put it on, and so far so good.

so far the double sided tape held, and tomorrow will be the big test. We are supposed to have 70% chance of rain tomorrow (we need it too).

someone glued their window to the surround using window urethane. they prepped the glass and the surround by scrubbing them clean and then scratching the for more adhesion, and glues it together with the taop hald way open. one curied they shut it and all was good.
btw, I think I might modify one of my tops by adding something elastic to the top bands (primarily the middle one) so they can have a little more give for shrinkage and still hold tight. maybe a spring?

So far, this is holding. I just cleaned both surfaces with a VINEGAR based glass cleaner, and applied.
So far, so good. I have a few other leaks, but I think those are from the top needing to be adjusted. If you look at the car from dead on, you can tell that the number 3 bow on the passenger side is too high. I just have not had the time to adjust it.
On another note, I should be going tomorrow to pick up that Grand Prix.
