Thats basically it. Tomorrow my brother and I (and probably with my father not too far away) will be replacing not just the tie rod end and probably the ball joints, but also my rear brake pads and rotors. Don't mean to sound like an idiot or a novice but... well, I am! Anything I should know? The calipers on my 95 GP are screw in or pressed in? I thought they were redesigned in 94 because they were prone to caliper failure.

My memory might be a bit rusty, 'cause it was over 4 years ago when I changed out the rear pads on my old 95 Regal, but I can tell you that the pistons on the rears are screw-in. They're real simple to "compress" using a needle-nose pliers. To change the pads, all you need to do is pop out the lower bolt holding the caliper to the bracket, and swing the caliper up (it pivots on the upper bolt.) They don't use a Torx on the rears, and if IIRC, it's a 13mm socket.
The 94+'s are a significant upgrade over the 88-93's, and do not sieze up like their older counterparts.
A Hayne's manual has all of the pertinent info, although it is pretty easy to figure out on your own. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember the pistons thread in in different directions on each side. Might want to consult a Hayne's on that...

It's easy enough, but you'll have to modify your parking brake assembly (or else live with out a parking brake.) I seem to remember them saying that in addition to swapping out the rotors and calipers, you'd need to change the e-brake cables and pedal assembly over to the newer style. The newer style pedal assembly won't fit your car without modification. I scanned W-Body.com's main page, and they don't have that write-up listed there anymore. I remember somebody else had a write-up posted somewhere with additional instructions on how to swap over the pedal assembly. "Google it" is the best I can come up with right now. I would definitely look into doing the swap if I were you. The difference in stopping power between my old 95 Regal (which had the larger front rotors and improved rear setup) and my parent's 92 Cutty Convert was like night and day. That and they're constantly replacing the rear pads and rotors on that car (I sent my stepdad a link to that old write-up ~5 years ago and he didn't feel like tackling it!)

(atleast 50% left on the pads and no real gauges or anything on the rotors either) so we'll see if im ok.

We got the work done today. Tie rod was the most difficult part... was really easy though after we found out we weren't using the right tools. Got the brake pads and rotors replaced. The old rotors looked like hell. They were extremely fucked. I guess I'll take pictures but it didn't make me feel good to realize I've been riding around on those things for the past few months. The pads however looked brand new? Seems weird to me. Also, we didn't get the ball joints done. It was getting late and dark, and my brother was already pissed off because the tie rod end was more difficult than expected. He basically told me "fuck it, let the garage do it".

Inner or outter tierod? Theres a pretty nifty tool to take em out if its the inners your doing, the outers is just one bolt, and it pops off the knuckle and it threads off the inner tierod. Balljoints on my 6000 and Cutlass Ciera were freakin easy as hell, id assume wbody ones cant be much different.

Who made that writeup? I'd like to steal that for our FAQ section when we get one.

I think it was Shawn Lin ( GnatGoSplat) who did the write-ups, as that was originally his site. You can't link to them from the main page anymore, but I was digging through my bookmarks and found a direct link to the old "Upgrades" page, which surprisingly is still there. http://www.w-body.com/upgrades/

I don't see any copyright... Yeah, and even if he threw one up, he most likely wouldn't be able to enforce it anyway. On my TSS and VATS write-ups, I threw up the general copywright language and said you could reproduce the text without permission, but not the images. There was some dude who copied one of my rough drafts of the VATS write-up word for word and posted it up at MyMonte.com. I know there really isn't shit I could do about it, even if I hired a lawyer, as nobody's trying to profit off of my idea. I say go for it, but just to be safe, credit the author. It's not plagiarism as long as you don't take credit for it.
