It's a Reese. And yeah, there's some substantial reinforcement inside of the trunk.

I need to replace the front strut cartridges, which I may do tomorrow. When I do that I'm going to take some measurements and look to see if I can add some "helper" coils to the pre-existing ones. I'm no suer waht I should put if I do, I'm thinking maybe 50lb ones on each side.

sounds like you know more than me, i only played with airbags, and i dont think those fit our cars, though ive seen some Grand Am kits before... somewhere.

Those rear coilovers help out considerably. For reference, this trailer weighs almost as much as the car (Seriously, it's made out of 1/4" C-channel, 1/4" square tube and 1/4" plating) and it towed beautifully. Only dropped the rear of the car down about 1.5 inches. I hooked the trailer up to a 1/2 ton pickup, and it dropped the rear about 3.5 inches and boy did it tow like shit. You KNEW that trailer was back there!

Did better on the hills though lol
