I would say that looks fairly important no?

The auxiliary spring serves a purpose, what that purpose is; well that's anyone's guess lol The only thing I could find stated it's "an auxiliary spring for enhanced ride comfort and stability in fully loaded conditions"

An interesting fact is cars that have rear swaybars do not have the auxiliary springs.

I've never personally seen a car with both, that's a first in my book.

And yeah, the price of that tool is worth more than the BB of my car lol

I found a purpose for one of my old figure 8's.  One day I was working in the garage when my wife was leaving for work.  I walked up to her window to say goodbye and coyly put the figure 8 under her front tire and stood close to the car as she backed out.  When she ran over the figure 8, I let out a shriek and she freaked the fuck out! lol  The look on her face was priceless - White. cars came 3 ways:

with an aux spring: base models
with a swaybar:   sportier
or with both: sportiest  (verts have both)

keep in mind that different years had different definitions.  (what does a TGP have? what does a GTP have?)

both my Chev and my Buick are FE3 cars, and both 91s. they both had the factory rear struts on them, in fact the buick is still factory to this day!! haha but i do agree, i think it helps with the handling... we have a few 'slalom' type of roads here (groat road for anyone who lives or has been here) and i could take them faster with the buick than i can with the lumi same thing goes for traffic circles... about 10kmh faster with the regal.

i double checked and yeah, the regal has a rear sway bar, and the 8s under it too. "Infinity springs?" heh nevermind. anyhow i was looking under there and i cant honestly see any functionality to them if you have good struts you shouldnt need them, they seem to be bullshit to me. haha

Did any GP's ever have them?  My 95 GP didn't:

N/M the descriptors.  I made that for some clueless kid on w-body.com a few years back...
