Backside of the cradle, roundbar attached to the cradle and both a-arms. You might have to turn your wheels all the way to one side to see it.

The ends of the front sway bar are located just under the axles.  If you look from the BACK of the front tire well, then the sway bar is the part that goes under the steering rack, and sits ON the subframe.

Just so you know, there are 3 different sizes of front sway bar, so if you are going to replace it, make sure you get the right one.  Also, if you upgrade to the LARGEST front bar (from the Lumina Z34, or any W-body with the 3.4 DOHC), then you will also need to get the retainers that hold the bar onto the subframe.  They are different than the other 2.

hopefully that bar gets replaced soon with the 34mm bar i have sitting in my garage (thanks Matt!)  i have all of the bracketry for the 34mm bar.  it's a bitch to R&R though.  i'll probably wait until i have the engine out again like when i replace the clutch or something because i really don't want to lower the cradle....although i really should just so i can replace the subframe bolts.

When my axle started going bad, I was hearing a rattle, so make sure that none of the axle boots are broken.  That will be a sign of the axles going out.

I know that feeling, I broke a sway bar mount a few weeks ago which was creaking and groaning. So I finally installed the 34 mm sway bar i had and it was a PITA!
