Well.  I have been putting it off for some time, but I could not do it anymore.  My drivers-side axle has been bad for a while, but it finally went out (fortunantly, right as I was pulling into the driveway).

I had been hearing a clunking noise, and I had a feeling it was that.  I knew from when I did the brakes that the axle boot was ripped, and I knew it was just a matter of time, but I was hoping I could get the green car running FIRST, and then just take care of it all at the same time (I also need to replace the tie rod, but I did not have that, so I still have more work to do).

Anyways, It was clicking LOUD for the last couple of days, and finally today, it gave up the ghost.  Fortunantly, I was on my way over to my mothers to fix it when it happened.  It is just BARELY holding together in the pics (would not have made it back home).

lol.  Yeah.  Those are my Harley Davidson boots.  They have got to be the most comfortable boots I have EVER owned.  I have had them for about a year now, and I am thinking about getting a second pair.  Those are the ones with the double zippers (one on each side of the tounge).

I got them because the fit tighter than a pull on boot, and were faster to put on than a lace boot.  Seemed sensible to me.  They also look good when they are clean, and can be worn with anything EXCEPT shorts (not that I wear a lot of shorts with my fat ass).

By wear, I assume you mean how are they holding up.  If that is the case, if I would just clean them, they would look new.  The only thing wrong with them, is on one of them, one of the screws that holds the nametag on it (on the side of the outer part of the sole, there is a metal HARLEY DAVIDSON tag) has come out, so I just took the tag off for now.

They are pretty small screws, but I just have not gotten around to getting a new one.  I am sold on these boots.  I am going to get a different style when I get my new pair.
