i've been looking at wheels lately and found two that i really like, both made by ASA...

the AR1:

by looking up wheels for a '99 Grand Am GT, i found the the AR1 in black (also 5x115 with 40mm offset):

i've never really been a fan of 5-spoke wheels, but i gotta say i really like the ASA JH8:

thoughts?  i know some people hate black wheels but i actually like them.  i'd really rather have wheels in a gunmetal color (to match the dark grey lower body on my GS) but i don't think they are available.

if anyone could do a photoshop of any of those wheels on my GS, i'd really appreciate it!  it will probably be fall before i could actually afford wheels/tires, but i can't wait to get rid of the stockers.

"Option A" looks similar to the SLP Regal GSX wheels...

I used to hate black wheels until I saw some on a Fiero.  What it was is the silver lip.  If it does not have that, then they look ugly.  Almost like they were just spray painted.

I even thought about getting some black crosslaces for my gold car, but at this time, I think that the car RUNNING is more important than how it looks.

As far as the stock GS wheels, I think yours look pretty good.  I like them a hell of a lot better than the first 2 options you showed, but that is just my personal taste.

A.... or possibly B.  I like black/silver lip on bright red (and other colors) dunno how it would fit on your Regal.  I don't like those 5 spoke though.

i've seen some 1st GEN 16x8 crosslace wheels on a 2nd GEN Regal and they just stuck out too far.  and no way am i going to use the GP swept crosslace wheels.  right now i'm really leaning toward the black AR1s cool

I hate rivets. Go JH8. Closest thing to Impala rims though... not sure if you're down with that.

if i land the job i'm applying for this week i'm going to be buying the 18" ASA JH8s very soon.  it's going to be about $1300 with tires....ouch.

with the Cutlass i never really cared that much about appearance.  all i cared about was upgrading the brakes and suspension and then tried to make the car fast on an extremely limited budget (which was really stupid but i guess it worked).  i do plan on getting go-fast parts later, but this time around i just want a car that looks good.  hell, i'm not going to be delivering pizza in the GS like i did with the Cutlass.

the main reason i'm going for the JH8s over the AR1s is because i think the 5-spoke design helps take away from the boring old man Buick look.  besides, i just think they'll look damn good on a lowered GS!  as far as appearance goes the only other things i want to do is tinted headlights and tint the windows again.  after that i'll probably upgrade the brakes and then i'll think about going fast smile
