Well the factory Goodyears are at 70,000km and they are pretty worn down. The weather is getting worse and for a w-body it's not getting very good traction! LOL
I'm looking at a few that I can get at work for a discount..
Uniroyal Tigerpaw AWP Goodyear Integrity
These are both similar in price, and in the price range that I want to spend. On tirerack.com it looks as though the Tigerpaws are the better tire... anyone have input or other suggestions? I've decided that an allseason will due, I don't have money for summer/winter tires right now.

I bought a set of Kumho 732 Touring Plus' for the red Impy and they were/are a ginormous improvement over the absolute horse-shitty Goodyears that were on there stock. Just all-around the car performs better (wet, dry, ice, snow.) I don't know if you have Discount Tire centers where you live, but I got the Kumho's from them for $275 out the door (that's including mounting, balancing, new valvestems, and disposal.) http://www.kumhousa.com/tires/passenger/premium-touring/732.doSomething to consider anyway, although I'm sure anything'll be an improvement over the shitty stock Goodyears...

after owning summer tires for the summer and snow tires for the winter, i will never use all-seasons again. think of all-seasons as crossover bikes. i know you said you cant afford that and that's fine, just putting my .02 in.
as far as a decent all-season in snow, i've had good luck with Mastercraft (Cooper) Avenger LS-R and Sensys 01. i usually buy toyo or mastercraft unless its for my truck

I had tigerpaws on my old Regal. They worked very good in the rain and snow. Not so good for dry performance though. (compared of the set of Goodyear Eagle HP's that I had on the car previously.)

How was road noise? I'm not overly concerned about dry performance, I woun't be racing or anything too crazy.

just dont get 'c' rated tires.... the traction index is school grade style, same with the temperature ratings. A is the best, get the same size, and ask if mounting, balancing, stems and valves are extra. brand of tire isnt SOOO important. its a matter of what you like. i would get the ones that have the fairest price with the best rating

i have BFGoodrich Traction T/As on my Regal and i'm really happy with them. they seem to do well in the snow, dry traction is good, not noisy on the highway, and from what i can tell they are not wearing quickly at all. IIRC they were about $80/each from discounttiredirect.com (and they arrived VERY quickly!). i have about 12,000 miles on them. btw they are the T-rated version. they seem to be a favorite on the regalgs.org forum as well.

I Will Add That The Fuzion ZR1's That I Have On The Gp Now Are Crazy Quiet For A Straight Performance Tire. And Are Wearing Pretty Good.

after owning summer tires for the summer and snow tires for the winter, i will never use all-seasons again. good point. having two sets of tires/wheels is really the way to go IMO. for the summer you can run some nice 17s or 18s with high performance lower profile tires, then in the winter use your stock wheels with real winter tires. or, just run some 9C1 steelies in the winter to keep your original wheels in good shape. 9C1 wheels would look good even on an Impala LS

9C1 wheels would look good even on an Impala LS Or you could grab up a set of "5-Spoke" wheel covers from a 06-08 Impy LS. They'd at least honor the original look of your car...

I have had BF GOODRICH G-Force T/A KDWS on my 1988 Cutlass Supreme for almost 5 years, and they are still like new. They held up really well to New York winters, got good traction in the snow, as well as wet. They are really a DRY WEATHER tire, but I didn't have any issues.
They have really low road noise and great grip. From now on, when I get tires, that is what I will try to get first.
I put 225/55ZR16's (W rated tire) on my 1988 Cutlass Supreme, and not once ahve I regretted it. I wanted them for my 1990 STE when I had to get tires, but at the time, money was a big issue, so I got whatever I could find for the cheapest. Next set of tires for the STE, as well as the green car and the gold car will all be KDWS as long as they are still being produced.
