... aiming them is important too... people dont understand this... i think its funny to see a pair of subs, in anything other than a bandpass box, in a trunk that has fold down seats, and the subs are right forward aimed forward... (i call that a no-no)... ! i have a pair of woofers on a seal box aimed forward ............and is not a no-no.remember what you said before "aimimg them is important too...."and that some people don't understand that .well aiming your box at diffrent angles to get the best of what you looking for........is also important ,and you might end up with the woofers facing forward.

well, my educated guess here tells me that the best way to get good sound out of your speakers is to mount them with the provided magnet. simply drill a hole through the body of the car to 'hide' the wires, amplifiers should be mounted on lower side of fuel tank for air cooling. feel free to run the power, sound, signal, and remote lines through the gas tank itself if it is shorter. however the sound output will be 'drunk' on gas fumes and sound slushy, so the output wires must take a wandering rout to each speaker, somtimes following the exhaust manifold, or even sprialing around it can get the wires to the front... just use extra tape to make up for the heat. its cool man. if you want the speakers inside, well all kinds of things work for speaker boxes... if youre on a budget like most of us are, kleenex makes a new size of box that fits a 6"x9" and has made 4x6s for a long time already. but for subs, i would suggest using double wall corrigated boxes. in ample sizes (like my plump woman) with a tight hole cut in so the subwoofer fits air tight in there. drill a hole in the surface of the speaker to get the wires to the back of it and hook them up to the terminals. silicone this hole or use mono. mono is great glass cleaner too.

my last box was ported and it sounded OK imo. My current box is sealed and sounds a whole lot clearer. I need to get that system into the GP.

we all know the best sound youre gonna get out of your car is to take a pair of bolt cutters to anything you can under the hood, beat the trunk with a sledge hammer, and jump on the roof while two people are simotainiously kicking the side doors. now theres a jam!

You can get this done at either audio events / car shows or at your local install place / dealer. Alot of places that sell audio equipment can meter your set-up.
