So I recently moved from Washingon down to California.. Up in Washington I had no issues with the car.. Recently here In California my car overheats extremely easily. Was in the drive thru and it overheated just waiting for the order.. When I drive the temp goes down.. But when it shoots back up

So I poppe open the hood and I noticed something peculiar.. My two fans on the radiator arent moving.. I don't know if that's the issue or not.. Or if maybe there are fuses associated with each fan? Any help is appreciated..

Oh for those that don't know.. It's a 92 lumina z34. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure there are fuses for those fans. Only one is a primary and kick on at 215 degrees. The other is at like 245 than it kicks on. You rarely ever see that on.

How is your coolant level? Its not leaking any?

Or is it burning coolant? If it is than the exhuast would have a "sweet" smell or be white.

I wouldn't call the smell sweet.. It smells like gasoline.. Fuel rich.. I deceided to take it
By my mechanic in the AM..

you can test out the fans by connecting the two top right most connections on the OBD port with a paper clip then turning the ignition on. if they work and the fuses and relays are good, theyll start spinning instantly when the key is turned.

Do you know why it would overheat in one region and not the other?

Would air pressure be a problem? I mean.. It never did it up in Wa, yet both times I've been in Ca I get extreme idle temps.. Like I have to be driving to keep this engine cool..
